Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii is the largest mountain in the world when considering it starts at the ocean floor and extends to over 14,000 feet above sea level. Our 100% Certified Kona Coffee is grown on a small estate on the slope of Mauna Loa. The farm is ideally located in the Kona coffee growing belt at an elevation of 1500 ft. and receives the perfect amount of rainfall mixed with sunshine. This creates a smooth and mild cup of richly flavored coffee known to many as the best of the world’s island coffees.
Tree Frog Coffees has a direct trade relationship with farmer Ray Anders of Kona Country Farm who has an extensive background in horticulture having owned and operated a 30 acre commercial apple orchard in Washington State for 25 years. Now, he’s learned the ins and outs of being a specialty Hawaiian coffee farmer using organic and best practices to create this exceptional Kona coffee.
