Rainforest Alliance coffee is a special treat
from the Chalatenango Region high up in the
Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountain Range
of
El Salvador. The rich volcanic soil, high elevation, and tropical
climate creates this rich tasting Arabica coffee with a wonderful
aroma. The coffee is grown conventionally under the shade of
old growth trees, resulting in an exceptional
tasting coffee chosen as a winner in the 2003 Cup of Excellence.

Santa Rita Estate, confirming that the coffee was
grown under shade and to
the strict regulations of the Rainforest
