Certification: Rainforest Alliance, shade grown   This certified Rainforest Alliance coffee is a special treat from the Chalatenango Region high up in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountain Range of El Salvador. The rich volcanic soil, high elevation, and tropical climate creates this rich tasting Arabica coffee with a wonderful aroma. The coffee is shade grown in the conventional method under old growth trees, resulting in an exceptional tasting coffee chosen as a winner in the 2003 Cup of Excellence.
